My Favorite Sun Protection Products for Summer!
As temperatures continue to rise, our time spent outdoors and in the sun is likely to increase. Sunscreen is seriously the most important step in my everyday beauty routine. It’s crucial in protecting my skin from skin cancer, skin damage, and aging year-round. During the summer I take my sunscreen routine a step further for added protection… It’s so important to combat this INTENSE Texas sun! In recent years I’ve discovered additional ways to protect my skin from the sun and have started implementing clothing items with UVP like hats, shirts, and coverups. Of the countless sunscreen products I’ve tried, I’ve found a solid list of items that have become my tried and true favorites. I hope this serves as a guide to help you beat the summer heat!

Everyday SPF
SPF has been a non-negotiable step in my morning skincare routine for as long as I can remember. Whether you’re running errands or enjoying lunch on the patio, these are my favorite products for everyday protection. This is my favorite everyday sunscreen, but I sometimes use the Unseen Screen throughout the day as well. Both absorb so well without leaving a white film!
SPF In My Beach Bag
Poolside, by the beach, or lake… long days on the water require added protection! These sunscreens are always in my beach bag! I’ve tried countless spray sunscreens, and this product by COOLA is by far my favorite! I also love using the Glow Stick to cover my hands when driving in the sun.
Makeup with SPF
Using makeup with SPF is such an easy way to make sure your skin is protected from the sun daily. These are a few of my favorite everyday items. They offer great coverage as well as sun protection! I’ve applied this under my eyes for years and it’s perfect… a little goes a long way!
Lip Protection
I’ve had the most difficult time finding a lip screen that doesn’t leave a yucky taste after applying. I love using the Colorescience SPF lip gloss on top of my lip liner for an everyday shine.
UPF
UPF stands for Ultraviolet Protection Factor. When clothing is labeled ‘UPF’, it means it’s engineered to provide maximum protection from UVA and UVB rays. I love using products with UPF as an added layer of sun protection. San Diego Hat and Eric Javits both have fabulous hats and Cabana Life has great clothing options.
